About

“One of the most valuable lessons I learned from my mentors is that absolutely anything can be done – if it doesn’t exist … design it yourself and have it made!”

A Los Angeles native, Studio MG Interiors Principal Megan Hersch studied Communications at UCLA and spent six years in the film business (in New York and Los Angeles). Leaving an executive position at Universal Studios, Megan went back to school to study design at the UCLA Arc_ID program and subsequently went to work for two of LA’s top design firms – Kelly Wearstler and then Atelier AM. She found her film production skills were equally valuable in the design trade where timely execution, budget adherence and attention to detail are essential to client satisfaction.

Five years later Megan opened her own design firm, Studio MG Interiors, Inc. From the outset, the firm took on an eclectic portfolio of projects across the country including a Deco urban apartment, a contemporary log cabin in Vermont and a vibrant California family house in the heart of the city. Today, Studio MG Interiors strives to create serene, comfortable interiors that represent their clients and how they want to live. The firm works with a broad range of resources from custom craftsmen to antiques dealers to catalogues that source around the world. At the same time, Megan loves to create an environment and/or find that unique piece that has not quite been seen or done before.

“We are always looking to provide an experience and end result that is above and beyond what our clients expect; the ultimate goal is for our clients to love where they live!”

In 2017 Megan launched e-design service roomLift, a custom virtual design service offering that is currently ranked as Best Hands On Online Interior Design service by the Good Housekeeping Institute and has been featured in Architectural Digest PRO, The Spruce, HGTV Magazine and others.
